For nearly one-hundred years the Royal Empire of Allied Systems has held a vice-like grip upon the galaxy, ruling from Coruscant. Systems have been crushed under the rule of the Royal Empire, and rebellions have risen up in the past. In recent years things have been quiet - thanks due in no small part to the massive fleets the Royal Empire has at their disposal. History seems to be repeating itself, as those who have the opposed this new regime have been subjugated by force…

Now the broken and shattered remnants of the Royal Empire’s vicious takeover have banded together in order to fight back and reclaim their heritages. Taking up the name “The Twelfth Liberation Front” the species and cultures who had previously only been known by numbers have banded together. Under the leadership of “Nil” - a teenage boy who hides behind a mask and a nickname with a tactical genius and a skill for rallying those to his cause unlike any previous resistance leader - the group had flourished. Or at least as much as a rebellion can under the close watch of its enemies. Nil, along with leaders of the eleven broken cultures, formed an organized fighting force that relied on guerilla tactics. Though they are still small, they have won several prizes in the form of weapons and ships through raids. Now they are looking to fight more strongly and take apart the Royal Empire from the inside.

Still the Jedi and Sith have not been heard from, though there are whispered rumors that Force sensitives have begun to return to the galaxy. It has been said that Nil was one and could influence the minds of those around him, for personal gain or to encourage the Front’s troops. Though they remain hidden on Susevfi, the Jennsaarai remain as the closest thing to Jedi the galaxy holds. Making small, yet open strikes at the Empire’s troops stationed in their system, the Jennsaarai keep the rumors of Jedi alive to this day, attacking in full armour with lightsabers. Recently even they too have secluded themselves completely as the Empire hunts them down with a passion created from nearly two-hundered years of prejudice.

Criminals are finding work is booming due to the illegal trade of weapons to the Front, and the passing of information to both sides. Local crime lords who had at one point been kept under close scrutiny now find themselves able to spread their influence. Small militias of mercinaries have formed on several systems and are bought out by either the highest bidder, or choose sides based on moral codes set forth by their leaders. Even the mighty Mandalorians have been stripped of their names, though they continue their heritage in secret. As the Royal Empire could only truly ever rule their planets, the leader of the Mandalorians, the Mand’alor has joined with the Front as one of the Eleven.

The galaxy is not a safe place for those that defy the Royal Empire, but for those that swear their allegiance, there is at least the security in knowing they will not be killed outright. It is hard to determine the future at this point with the Front so small and the Royal Empire forever watching over its territories. Only time will tell whether the tyrrany of this new Empire can be broken, or if it will forever stand as the one governing body that attained all it sought.
